Lambs injury

Found this lamb this morning. Front leg all swollen up. Caught it thankfully and found raw in inside of leg with a hole to in it. Have gave Betamax and a little metacam. How many days should I treat it? It does look sore but all dried up

Put some purple spray on it, maybe some click to deter flies and inject again in 5-6 days if not much better, the Betamax is LA so may not need second jab

Put the blue foot spray stuff on it. Looks terrible sore. One of best ewe lambs I planned to keep to

Batamox LA lasts 48 hours. It needs at least 3 injections every other day. I'd repeat the Metacam at the same frequency if still painful.

it is putting any weight on it? Sometimes these can cause very nasty nerve/tendon/ligament damage. If not using the leg and getting better each day then consider slaughter.

It's not putting weight on it at all im afraid. Il go with the course of injections first and give it a chance

It really needs to be at least touching it to the ground by the next injection or the prognosis is pretty hopeless.

Not all Betamox is LA, if your using the normal one you need to jab everyday.

Just checked mine and it's betamox 150mg so gave it another ml or just under

Was going to vet to ask about stuff and got lamb checked to and vet agreed and I got it put to sleep.
