Typical couldn't find none of the above
I asked a steward the quickest way to Hall 17 (where they were). They're pretty helpful when you need to to find somewhere. He directed me out of the hall into the atrium, where Hall 17 was clearly signed, although it was the furthest away, but was worth finding. Would love to have spent more time in Hall 17. Some really good little stands in there.

Email from Lamma team earlier.

Thank you for make the first ever indoor LAMMA a huge success!
The first ever indoor LAMMA has been a huge success and we were so excited to welcome so many visitors to see a whole host of UK and global machinery and product launches, as well as plenty of innovative technology from smaller agricultural, engineering and machinery companies.

As we now start planning for LAMMA 2020 at The NEC, we would love to know your thoughts and listen to any feedback you may have from this year's event. We value our visitors' opinions in helping to build on the success of LAMMA '19.

Nice to meet few of you there.
Exellent Show.
Lots of unknown makes and manufacture's there of Tractors etc.with good sensible (if such a thing) prices and extended 2yrs warranties etc.
Think some BIG boys will regret not going as these other marques will progress well we think alledgely.
Good big crowds ,captive audience .
Some stands did say lots of English,Welsh and Irish and abroad but not too many Scottish there.
And yes good photo's of Agrifac girls ?

I think the only way the big boys will regret not going is if first option for stand space goes to this years exhibitors and there’s no room for them in future years.
If they wish to attend next year and it’s simply a case of booking a place then I don’t think it will worry them that they missed this year.
Worst case scenario would be they want to attend next year, there’s a shortage of space and they use their deep pockets to outbid/muscle out some of the smaller players.

And if customer bought products this year off show exhibitors ?

We were talking of the big boys such as Case, NH, JD, MF and Claas were we not.
If in the market for a new combine or tractor at the moment I wouldn’t not consider them because they weren’t at LAMMA, it may well mean I would ask someone who was there who I hadn’t considered for a price but that doesn’t mean they’d get the deal.
All the big players are continually loosing deals to their competitors, I don’t suppose they loose too much sleep over losing individual deals.

Well I had a good look at the Valtra ,,,,,, hadn't considered one before

We'd like to thank everyone who visited the Argo Tractors stand and took a good look at the McCormick tractors. Having been on the stand at 7am for last-minute finishing touches and a briefing at 7.30am, our team was busy with enquiries right from the moment the doors opened at 8.30am - and not just from farmers and contractors but also competitor and start-up dealers interested in what we have to offer.

The organisation and access at the NEC during set-up and the show itself was really good, and like others have said, having a multitude of entrances, eating places (offering a good choice of different types of grub) and plenty of loos made the whole thing a pleasure rather than a bit of a trial, as it used to be!

We saw it as an opportunity not just to show the tractors but also to emphasise the substance behind them - ie the Argo Tractors business - which is a global operation with a complex of five Italian factories where front axles, transaxles and cabs are manufactured for all models up to 140hp. Beyond that, we use Carraro front axles and ZF transmissions but with our own control software; and they all get a cab styled, engineered and manufactured by ourselves.

We thought LAMMA was a great success; people seemed genuinely relaxed and prepared to stand and talk about products or distribution because they weren't getting frozen to the spot! And we loved seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter as folk had a go with the selfie booth - you can see the results on our Facebook page (McCormickAgriUK). Great to see farmers enjoying themselves at a time when there's a lot of pressure and future uncertainty.

If anyone wants to follow-up on anything they saw or talked about on the stand, do get in touch direct (01302 757550) or contact one of our dealers. It was onl;y last week but we're already looking forward to LAMMA 2020!
