Despite costing me and my wife 212 quid to get there from Peterborough on the train; I see it as a good way to look at stuff without having some slimy rep ringing you up constantly after showing the slightest bit of interest. Yes they’re there; but when you’ve had enough of them you just walk away 👍 notably missing was Horsch and John Deere for me; also wanted to see spearhead. Won’t rush back for a year or two but it is what it is. Many many college age people there which was pretty annoying at times but they are the future I guess and we were all them once; worryingly…
Book your tickets in advance online and you will halve the train cost. Ticket machines at the station are rather dear.

Some final pictures from me. Sorry for losing all my pictures from day 1. Lost about 20 stands worth.

Bednar from hall 10 (ish)

Tickets booked 3 weeks in advance online. Forgot to add £19 parking fee at the station! Rail travel is no longer cost effective I’m afraid…
It cost me £10,50 for day return with free parking. The alternative is an hour in the van and £12.95 to park at the Nec. Next year is due to be higher cost for the stands and an entrance fee to get in on top of the car park charge. With the current lack of farmer spending it will have quite an impact on the show.attendance on both sides of the industry which is a shame as it’s a useful show.

My take on the show. I love them, mixture of getting to root out some new tech, chatting to friends and business colleagues and getting the work team together.

my highlights of the show were the new engine tech and the Ecorobotix spot sprayer.

This was not as much for the machine itself, it’s that this sort of tech has the possibility to allow the registration of new chemistry that would never get approval for broadcast spraying. Had a really good chat to James from Syngenta about that while on the stand.

£17.95 to park I think.

Doubt I’ll bother going again luckily only 20 mins away,. Walked round everything in 3-4 hours.. spoke too the people I wanted too speak too but too many 14 year olds walking round in big groups for my liking couldn’t get near anything for kids.. when I was a lad you were only allowed too go with dad now they’re there in army’s 🙈😂 preferred it when it was outdoor
Did you miss 7 halls?

Cracking show as usual. So much better than it used to be at Newark/Peterborough. I feel that it's worth £20 or so ticket price. After all, the likes of Agritechnica and SIMA aren't free, so why not the UK's version? Maybe some income from tickets might lead to the likes of John Deere etc coming back to it?

I went to the Gents, well it had a sign usually assigned to Gents toilets, only to find it didn’t have any urinals in it.
Obviously far more blokes than women at this event, meant they had to make some concessions!

………I pity the poor cleaners this evening though.
Nuff said!
Reminds me of the sign I saw in the Gents once 'our aim is to keep these toilets clean, your aim will help'
