Land Owners - Deer Culling

Sussex are considering a deer cull due to the numbers on all land.
So get people you know to shoot the deer at least then you have control and know the shooter. sussex woods pilot scheme

Plenty of shooters are willing for free and trustworthy. insurance cover and licensed good luck
I'm available!

Joking aside. It's an incredible part of the world to stalk. We've been involved in culls where neighbouring fields in 'safe zones' where landowners didn't allow shooting were covered in deer. I can see why they are suggesting drastic action.

Fallow in particular are terrible for finding the safe havens, they feel the pressure and are quite happy to move grounds in the blink of an eye.

I have one farm I look after with a haven next door, all I can do is chip away at the odd one as and when they stray over the boundry.

sooner or later i can see compulsory measures been put in place, it will start by all been tied in with grants and go from there, eventually it will be contract works and compulsory.
My deer cull has grown year on yr but it really does need a countrywide effort.

Yep, loads of experienced, reliable and trustworthy stalkers out there. If any of you guys need a hand at any point let me know. I've been working abroad for the last few years. I'll be returning to the UK this summer but our active permissions are now very far from my Middlesex base. Would be good to have some opportunities in the South East.
