Land Rover Stolen. Bucks/Oxon borders

My fathers Land Rover was stolen from outside his house Nr High Wycombe about 8pm on Friday night (28th Nov). Contents of the cab was found strewn on a secluded bridleway about 5 miles away in Longwick the next morning. Only local people would know of this Bridleway along an old disused railway, you wouldn't stumble across it and think it a good place to empty a motor.

Registration LT58 VAJ

New bonnet shape Defender 110 Hi Cap pickup, in standard Land Rover Green with "David Stocks Fencing Contractors" sign writing on both sides of vehicle and tail gate in White lettering. Ply lined load bed which is looking tatty but load bed should be pretty mint underneath. Lashing rails down each side are reinforced with angle iron, so again should be pretty mint if taken off. 2 new seats just fitted, front bumper is a bit knocked about. Panel work is in good order with a few minor dinks and scratches. Tail gate is a bit knocked about.

It's a long shot but please keep an eye out if going to view second hand Land Rovers.

Thanks

Had my high-cap nicked about 5 years ago and found some contents of the cab on a verge 4 or 5 miles away, but heading Aylesbury way. Probably the same fckers., hope you have more interest from plod than we did.

Just the usual from the plod, get you the reference number for the insurance. The bobby who cane out didn't have a grasp of what when or where. But to be fair, what can they do....

Insurance have made a reasonable offer for payout so that is something.

It would drive you ruddy mad if you would let it.
I'll eat my hat if the police do not know almost exactly where these items are to be found in the first 6 hours after the theft, but political correctness on the part of the Police Authority prevents them from going in and busting a few heads.

Yeah, know what you mean. Know of a couple of places round here that police won't go near as someone I know knew where his digger was and they threatened him with prosecution if he took some mates to retrieve it.

Nah mate, no trace. Got the insurance cheque last week. Chipperfield say the new one will arrive in March, pain in the ass as NFU will only give us a hatch back in the meantime.

when I had my patrol stolen they tried to fob me off with a car, so I told them I would hire a fourtrak of my mate they were happy with this and so was I as I made enough to buy the fourtrak,

A lot of Defender theft going on lately, old bill rarely seem to find them. :(

I had the rear prop and the tailgate off the iFor Williams canopy stolen off my Hi-Cap a while back. Guess I was lucky they didn't take the lot...

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
