Land to rent

Hi there,

I’m looking for some advice / guidance. I would like some farmers advice on the below if possible.

I’ve been looking for a while to rent some land to make into a secure field for my dogs plus running it as business in the future.
Unfortunately I keep missing out on land that’s up for rent by Estate Agents.

I was just wondering if approaching farmers directly would be an option? But I’m just worried about sounding cheeky and losing their respect. Plus I wouldn’t want to call them as i’d rather speak face to face which Is hard as I understand all farmers are busy people.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Sarah

Helps if you say if you know where you are. Farmer will be interested if you've got some sort of business plan and clear idea what you want.

Thanks for your reply.
I’m based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire which I should have mentioned on my original post.
Ideally I’d love between 1 - 2 acres. But seems impossible to find round this area

I have a business plan ready And clear idea what I would like ?. I was just wondering what the best way to approach farmers?
thanks
