We are going to France and other half will need to use laptop for work whilst there.
Will be in rural France, she will need access to a cloud based system. What is the best way to get connected, no local Wi-Fi. Dongle ??
If so any recommendations would be appreciated

You can use your phone as a hotspot

This. Or just get a cheap dongle or MiFi device, stick an ASDA 4G SIM in it and preload it with a 20GB data deal before you set off. It may be more advantageous depending on how rural you get, and you can position the MiFi to get the best service and then just pick up it’s WiFi with the laptop.

Is your other half freelance or self employed? Most folks with work supplied laptops and IT gear would get this done by their IT dept. It’s what they do.

Her IT dept are abroad at head office , and need requests in triplicate before any action is taken . She feels it would be better to sort it herself ,it's her back up plan if things go wrong whilst she's away. I agree her company should sort it. But it's like this country its run by a bunch of clowns.
