What size of timer is used for the roof? Roof timber bracket positioning are unusual. Never saw that done. Any reason for not having the timber resting on the truss?

Well spotted!
9x3 on one side and 7x3 on other
Reason being is the front elevation of building is going to be slated and the back is fibre cement
The reason they are set into rafters is allowing for 4x2 rafters and battens to go on top so that the skates and top of fibre cement are the same
Hopefully !!
