More an upgrade than a new launch, but this morning sees the launch of our TFF TV Realm. This will allow us to better integrate video and podcast content and allow it to be sorted, found and broadcast around TFF. Being our first release - it is by no means the finished product. But we wanted to start the rollout process to see how useful it can be.
The idea is to integrate training, technical, webinar, show, fun content into TFF. We have all seen the rise of the webinar over the last few years and training videos for CPD points. We hope to make it easier to find content and also like a normal TV channel - there is a schedule. All TFF readers can see when something is running on TFF TV - plus there will be notifications in relevant sections (depending on the video).
There are loads of features, like group-watching, polls, Q and A's, pass/fail questions at the end of videos (for CPD points). Plus appointments, one-on-one training opportunities, live technical support help. We think it will be useful in many ways over the next few years.
We have created a new platform for this, but one which integrates with TFF. This way you can chose whether to use the system and whether to integrate them. We have also made it our first single-sign-on platform. Thus - you just use your TFF username to link your accounts. We will be rolling this out across other TFF platforms in due course to make life simpler.
Linking your account (for TFF members)
Click "Log in" in Realms.
Select the "XF The Farming Forum Login" button.
Then click "Authorize" and you are done.
