Leaking radiator

tractor been using a bit of water blown out rad and it’s weeping along bottom, not dripping just wet. Is it worth putting stop leak in it or should I bite the bullet and get a new rad, tractor 18 years old and 7500 hrs.

Put a can of Rad weld in it should sort it

cheap fix that will last a while , put 2 or 3 eggs in it will stop it leaking

No just crack it open & put every thing in but the shell when the rad is warm & until up to until the leak stops

If you can get at it from the outside reasinably well.... plastic padding 'leak 'fix is good stuff ,

i did the seam where the solder had failled ....on a radiator and its been find for a couple of years.

I agree, a new or at the very least a professionally reconditioned radiator is the answer.

Did you try ground baking ginger mixed in a small bit of water, works well and tends to last longer than the eggs.

Radweld etc OK as a get you home measure but at that age a new radiator core should last another 18 years and really shouldn't break the bank _ much better value than an engine.

My personal logic would be weither its a front line machine or not , if u need it to work , or anyones going to be operating it do job reat new core / rad .

Plenty of money to burn and time on hands. Stick a can of k seal in it and see how she goes. Doesn’t sound like the engine is going to suffer if it’s just weeping.

Just remember that more engines are ruined through lack of water than through lack of oil

You say that coolant is blown from radiator... could there be more problems?
