LED lights for tractors

Hi all,

Finally got round to doing some repairs on blown bulbs etc on our tractors today, found one of the rear lights has broke beyond repair and started wondering whether you can get LED units to replace?

Been looking on Google and can see alot of (what look to be cheap quality) generic square box units, nothing to suggest you can get like for like in terms of shape/size to fit existing bodywork etc. Specifically looking for Case 5150/JD 6910 rear lights.

Talking side/rear brake/indicator/tail, not work lights. Think I saw on here in another thread that LED lights don't work properly on some tractors also?

Thanks!

He’s not looking for worklights but replacement rear tractor units but LED

That's right, LED work lights are everywhere.. every size shape power can possibly want. But can't seem to see anyone doing brake/indicator/tail light units that would look acceptable on a rear of a tractor.. just all these square/round basic stuff clearly meant for trailers

I’m suprised with the amount of Chrome bits, air horns, exhaust and mirror guards etc available. That nobody makes upgraded light units for the most popular tractors.

The Valtra rear lights are cool, and very bright.

You could use the oem fittings with led replacement bulbs - many automotive bulbs have led equivalents these days. Obviously not as good as true led units, but easier to source.

The main issue with LEDs not working on tractors is due to the low current used being seen by the system as a failed bulb. The easiest workaround is to have a resistor in parallel to emulate the load of the original bulb.

Few years ago I bought a pack of 20 cheap square eBay LEDs and fitter them to the old valmet and skidsteer

so far they’ve been brilliant only issue is radio interference on the 8050 but I’ve a iPhone aux cord and cds so I’m not to bothered
