Ok, re-read the blurb and the drill is 3.425 m
Also been and measured our widest implement , a Watson tandem 10 foot roller, the lead roller is 3.4 metres wide. Is this not legal? . Usually drive it half on the verge anyway.

See plenty here riding round with 4m combies during drilling months. I'm fairly certain none of the bother to tell the police they are moving them. Some occasionally move them on trailers but that's a rarity these days. One guy I know is snookered transport wise anyway without it being on a tractor as its 4m both ways.

Dad gets a covering letter from Suffolk Constabulary each year which he carries with him in the tractor all the time. I'll post a copy tomorrow if I remember. It used to cover him for his 4m power Harrow before it went so I reckon it's related to the 3.5m to 4.3m category above.

Some advice please, looking at a trailed drill 11 and a half foot wide , is it legal on the road ?

It's more about being permitted on the road. Measure the maximum width and email the Abnormal loads team in your local force. Their website will have guidance.

My combine is 3.7m wide & I get a dispensation to drive it on public roads during harvest, subject to certain Ts and Cs. See below. I supplied them with the registrations of vehicles, dimensions, weights etc.
