Lely trailed mower

A friend of mine is thinking of buying a second hand lely trailed conditioner mower,the model is a splendimo 281 PC, has any one good or bad experience s with these mowers. Would appreciate your views back thanks

As long as they have been looked after then there should be no real issues. The areas I'd look at are the conditioner bearings as they are prone to wearing. It's easy to replace if caught early enough but I've heard some horror stories. Also you should get under it and spin each disc by hand and check they all move together if one has a bit of slack then its probably hit something hard and may have other issues. I've no experience of trailed lelys however so cant say if the frame or drivetrian is any good or not .
