They make a lot more money out of selling junk food then ,that applies equally if not more to none vegan foodThe supermarkets will sell whatever makes them £££, so when the "plant based" stuff stays on the shelves they'll quietly reverse their policy. As to the rest, Der Spiegel can't be trusted as a reliable source after getting caught out making stories up a couple of years ago and the big boss of Siemens is desperately trying to divert attention from the companies massive carbon emissions.
Furthermore all food is carbon-based. Without carbon and carbon-dioxide there would be no life as we know it on Earth. CO2 levels in the atmosphere are actually so low as to be dangerously near the level where plants cease to grow.off topic a bit , but all food is plant based , some plants get turned into food by animals!

I walked into Lidl one night I was on foot and it was handy
Got my hand basket half full of stuff I did not recognise until I approach the fresh chicken, I had my heart set on a Sourdough Chicken Sallad Sandwich, the chicken looked like something a dog at eaten and coughed up , that was enough to cause an about turn dump my basket and walk another mile to a Waitrose Store
I've never thought myself a snob but if the cap fits I suppose I must wear it

My local Aldi recently put up a plant based shelf of various - from my weekly observations - it aint selling. The supermarkets will sell whatever makes them £££, so when the "plant based" stuff stays on the shelves they'll quietly reverse their policy.
