Unlike my duckie overalls arms 3 " to long and leg 3 " to short
the ones i bought were 42" waist and im a conservative 36" :sneaky: but they were cheap and with a good belt  length is ok .
tbh they are nice indoors as the dry logs have run out and its a bit cool in the front room in the evenings ...:sick:to say the least ...but they definitely help:giggle:

Anyway they didn't have the plasma cutter but actually did happen to have :sneaky: a pair of wire side cutters 2.99:cool: a rather nice pair of lined and knee padded work trousers ( slightly large size but really comfy ) for £12 and a couple of packs of hd galvanised 100x 100mm 3mm steel brackets at 2.99 a pack that im sure will come in handy for something (y)

Bit like the fella down the road here, buys shoes in the charity shop but never checks the size :banghead:

Goes to a funeral puts the foot up on the bumper & "polishes" the shoes with a black rattle can.....mostly has a black line round the socks too...

The best thing would be to invest in a good torch when you’ve used all the consumables. I bought a stamos 50a a few years back, would cut 12mm ok. Spent £80 on a new better torch and now it cuts 12mm like a production cut instead of severance cut. Can’t beat Aldi or Lidl for their machinery deals. [emoji106]
What would be a good value upgrade torch for a cheaper plasma.

I would like to upgrade the torch on my r-tech to one with an isolated nozzle so it doesn't need stand offs.

Bought one this morning from Shrewsbury (about 10am, only one left on sale after I took mine). Already have the one without a compressor which gets used only occasionally, but fancied this at the price because of the built in air compressor.

First impression, build quality looks good, ready to use straight out of the box as it says - although there is a switch you need to change to "internal air supply" and also a valve you need to make sure is set to internal air supply (it comes with a short length of air hose so you can use an external air supply. Comes with a blue 3 pin plug fitted.

Used it initially to cut some 6mm plate which it did easily at a setting of 25amps, then turned it fully up to 40 amps and tried it on 10mm plate which it managed, although you obviously had to take it slowly. Then when I tried another cut on the 10mm stuff the thing stopped! Thought at first it was the thermal cut-out because the duty cycle at full power is something like 20%. However turned out I'd blown the fuse in my 13amp plug (was using a converter connector, naughty I know). Looks like I might need to put in a dedicated circuit.

One other thing - when running on the internal compressor, it's bloody noisy!!

Edit....just thinking about why the fuse blew on the cutter with the built in compressor when using the blue to 13amp converter connector when it has never happened with the other Lidl one- maybe the extra power required for the internal compressor pushed the electrical demand over the edge??
