Liming on top of stubbles

It's fine provided you don't intend to plough it down and totally bury it!

You can always get a trailed press and press the ploughing down before the lime man comes to save his back.

Do all of mine on stubble and plough it down. Sensible way to do it in my opinion, unless ph really low and needs alot.

Saves taking out marks and pulling up stones, which we have a lot of.

We tried it for the first time this year. Happy to have no wheel marks. Lime is applied every 6 years if needed, so just maintaining levels.

It depends on how much it needs. If it's just maintenance it will be fine ploughed down but if you're fixing acidity then remember that lime won't make its way back up the soil profile. Min till?
