Little "classic" 2wd tractor with twin spools?

Can I ask the great and good in the knowledge, what would be my best bet for a tidy little classic 2nd tractor that I should buy that I can also mount my neighbour's bale wrapper ?

put my mchale wrapper on our ford 6610 1983, that we use for muckscraping in the winter, have to be very careful driving it with the weight of the wrapper on ? would not want to go anywere near a public road with it ? but it does a good job running at a low engine speed ?

The prices tidy classic little tractors make I think I'd be looking at a new Solis.

Ford 10 series, simple and reliable. Good hydraulics for the time and ideal on a wrapper. Much as I like the 50 series they don’t really suit wrapping.

A tidy 10 series will be a good investment if bought right.. Look for anything 5610 upwards.

Or better still an 844, the front of the 885 with the back of the 956.

Can I ask why a 2wd , if it’s for the steering lock some of the little 4wd (2140 ) will turn on a sixpence .

A 4610 will be on it's limit with a mounted bale wrapper. There's bound to be 3/4 ton in one with little of that weight close to the tractor. Unless the tractor only has to power and not transport the wrapper.

Well obviously, but that's far too sensible!

JD 2140, but you have to undo a nut on the wrapper as they are either closed centre hydraulics or open centre - can't remember which but it is opposite to all my other tractors.

I am a DB Lover, but they are not suitable for this job.
IH 795, 895 etc very suitable if you can find a good example.
The 42 series should be good but for some reason have poor reputati.
However if you can find a little CX 75 upwards will be ideal
Although will not have the classic cache!
All IH , Mccormick models have a lower value compared to equivalent MF, JD, New Holland equivalent
