bit of humour, in these humourless times, watching USA auction, started with a wedding, in the ring !!! Guests were a load of farmers, in 'market' clothes, different.
black and white bull calves, $10 to 25
sheep, sold singly, $75, but only 2
poor stirky things, $100, give or take, but looked shite,
goat $125
barren cows, looked cheap, at $750
auction feb 20, and yankie auctioneers, would have a load of puzzled farmers, over here, definitely a different spiel !!!!!!!
anyone else got some market 'stories', post and give us all a smile. we need one.

I went to a sale in Georgia last year and there were cows coming through the ring that would be illegal to own in the UK, incredibly emaciated. They also sold a Donkey for $175, which felt a bit bizzare given what had just come throught he ring.

Are you getting market withdrawal symptoms already :scratchhead:?

How the hell do they know what's going on ? It seems to take this guy forever to sell one lot .................
Compare and contrast..........
This must be from her early days.

I would hope the first was selling $100 or 1000 increments, if not, certainly earnt his commission, but the second clip, looks a hell of a lot prettier !

look forward to my lunch at Exeter, pasties at frome are nice, Salisbury mmm not been for a long time, shafsbury had the best brekkie, but sadly no more.
On some auctions, over the pond, they sell, so much a lb, might be hundred + cattle, in the lot, av weight x $/lb.
makes a change from the present gloom here.
