What are they likely to be like with a beltex on them

Look good stuff, the beltex cross lambs should be be top quality and they are likely to be great mothers with loads of milk.

Sound perfect then...I’ve always fancied trying some Cheviots or Cheviot crosses but you don’t get that many around here...looking forward to seeing how they do

As far as I'm aware lleyn/cheviot is one of those clicks that works really well.

Those in the pictures look likely to be Lairg (hill) Northies, I've been using a Park Northie - a bit bigger/more frame for keeping inbye using the Suffolk and Texel tups

If they‘re where i think they’re from they’ll be very good sheep. My father has some of the same.

Bit off topic I know but has anyone ever put a bfl over lleyn ewes? And what was the end result?

did it a bit in the 80s-90s. I found them waaaay too prolific for me.
Also used to get several hermaphrodites, although that presumably was the Lleyn ram in question.
