Loadall Buckets

Weve moved from a 3.5 ton machine to a 5.5 ton machine and our buckets are 8ft wide and slightly narrower than the machine.

Probably need to move to 8'6" possibly 9' at a push and somewhere between 2.5m and 3.0m capacity, They are to be used for filling the feeder wagon, and muck, general dairy duties.

This size of bucket is right at the top of the standard ranges of most bucket manufacturers ranges and im worried the new machine with a lot more power will destroy them, obviously the bigger they go the weaker they are and the more force you can put on them?

Cherry products buckets are around £1,600 for standard or £2600 for the heavier buckets, will the standard ones be up to it?

i really want the buckets to crown back as near as level as possible for handyness, the new machine has a manitou headstock on and i dont think it crowns back quite as far as the manitou did so the brackets need to be lent forward on the bucket.

I want two one for clean stuff and one for dirty so the price difference adds up.

Buy a larger volume one for feedstuffs.

Buy a smaller one but with a top grab on it for muck and anything else.

Look at a range of manufacturers and they will probably make one that suits your machine with brackets and geometry to suit. You've spent good money on a new machine and a good set of attachments will outlast it easily if they are looked after.

Ring cherry products up and tell them what you want. I wanted our buckets to crowd back level and our new manitou didn’t crowd back as far as the old one but cherry did the conversion to pin and cone for us but I’m sure they will know angles of different loaders
