Grain carting in the mid nineties before health and safety was invented. 20 years old tearing round the roads on a car licence (boss said there was some sort of exemption for farmers, so it was all fine). I'm embarrassed to say it got up a year later to make the world's worst trailer; it bounced with a vengeance and nothing had enough oil to tip it, but it would carry 20t of beans

We used this as a bowser. 10 000 litre stainless tank with a Honda pump, clean water only. Balance the bicycle on it somewhere, drive it to the middle of the block of ground to be sprayed, bike back to the yard and fetch the MB Trac and demount Gem.

I remember having a moment when I'd forgotten to lock the cab down. The safety latch caught it, but it moved enough to scare the wits out of me thinking I was going to get a close up view of the tarmac.

Used see them Clydesdales like clockwork in CO-OP Colours in out of the local Creamery. Gradually phased out for Freighters.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
