Only had artics tip lime here but seen a 8 wheeler with similar sized drag, across the valley. That pretty much backed up to jackknifing point and tipped the lorry that way.how do they manage to tip without the drawbar getting in the way ? that type of outfit common in nz but never seen any like that here
That's how they load the wagon and drag cattle combinations without the load thru doors tooOnly had artics tip lime here but seen a 8 wheeler with similar sized drag, across the valley. That pretty much backed up to jackknifing point and tipped the lorry that way.

The first few times it takes a little sorting out but once you get the hang on it ito a doddle, when spreading stone getting the joins perfect takes a little longer, great system and I can't understand why we don't do it here? All depends on what your carting and how long your drawbar is. Obviously tipping grain or fert over a grid is no problem. If you have a long drawbar and a bit of room you can jack knife the trailer right round out of the way, a good operator can get the trailer that far round the tail door is only a step away from the drivers door.
Also if your carting gravel or track rock (although perhaps not in bins as big as the ones on the Pye truck) you fit chains to the tail door so they only open a bit, raise the hoists drive forward and trip the doors at the same time and spread the material in a nice smooth layer. Its really easy, honest
Of course if your in a tight spot or have a short drawbar it only takes 30 seconds to drop the trailer.
Saw Mr Pye's new truck the other day, looks good. He's put some nice gear on the road the last few years.
The Pye group has grown into a big outfit.
