The reason I asked is that build quality and reliability has seriously gone downhill especially from 2013 onwards with the T4i range, so I would consider other quality makes like Volvo if the price difference is not too great - Volvo is a brand that is respected around the world when you come to change next time round, IMO

A demo machine arrived in the yard today. It certainly is a very well put together unit. I haven’t seen a 427 recently but as said had a 419 on demo. Nice machine but very plasticky if there is such a word. I am yet to get a value on my old one but I am waiting to see how a similar Volvo machine would compare

Had one of those years ago. It could certainly lift stuff. 💪
All good and well until you needed to get out with the arms more than a few feet off the ground.
Good job it had a roof hatch.

Haven't posted here in a looooong time now and this is the first I see upon returning, almost makes you a believer

Well then, the 840 was introduced in '66 while the 841 came along in '72, there is not any huge differences just a whole host of small improvements over the span of production.
Examples include going from 12V to 24V, assisted steering, double brake system, D60 engine rather than D50, etc etc...

Oh there is one major change, the 841 introduced a safety cab, the 840 was really just a weather cab.

These are still very common machines here in Scandinavia, for obvious reasons, so spare parts is no issue...

I've got some questions. Like how the hell do you get in the cab?
The front, you can just about spy a door handle on the far side.
