The second picture is the old market place and the other two are the third incarbnation.
I well remember Banbury market having been a regular most Wednesdays for ten years with barren cows. I should know the three on the rostrum as they sold my herd in 1986 sadly memory is failing.
I have quite a few pictures of Banbury cattle market, as used to work there and took lots of photos on the last day was open for trading , can share them if you like

Hi @Exfarmer. The auctioneer sitting is Jim Watson, next to him is Ian Smethurst.

I'd LOVE to see them. I occasionally post pictures on the Banburyshire FB page and even now it holds fond meories for many

My office was in the portacabin in the old BRS Merton Street yard and as it was positioned right on the party chainlink fence I saw all the wagons leaving in the exit road towards The Bell on Bridge Streer

Only pictures I have of Banbury market is a tractor pulling event held in the lorry park outside. Think it was early 80’s. I was only a kid. Great day, still remember it.

It was a mart I never went to. Passed it endless times going to Hexham. If I remember rightly didn't Cleveland meat buy a lot out of there.
Now I can’t remember who was buying you are going back a long time. I think I was still at primary school when we were going there. Knack cows and ewes was all we took there
