How much is Lucerne worth per ha? Looking at putting a few small fields that are in EFA fallow at the moment into something more useful. I would look to sell the growing crop.

Not sure how you would sell the growing crop.
We have started growing it but it needs careful handling to get it established and then to get the best out of the crop you need ideal weather conditions so as not to lose the leaf. Saying that we have had two cuts already off very poor land that is drought prone and it recovers quickly.

It doesnt have to be cut. It can be grazed.

There is some not too far from me that has been in the ground for about 4 years. Each year they have cut and wrapped 3-4 times followed by store lamb grazing for a few weeks in the winter.
