I only listened to the first ten minutes or so, did anyone refute the "expert's" comments ?

Not really. It was the Jeremy Vine Show! What did you expect?

Just because the man from the Lynx Trust has a 'Dr' in front of his name is no guarantee of either common sense or honesty, both of which were obviously lacking to anyone who knows anything about nature, cats and sheep, let alone human nature and spin/propaganda.

He stated that only one had bite marks, and the others had probably died from other causes (and went on to say how many sheep died in the UK each year through malnutrition, exposure & disease) and had probably been used by the NSA to make false claims.
Yeah, he quite glibly threw in the number - between 2 and 4 million - FFS, that's an 'expert' banding about a fairly loose estimate, if ever I heard one:facepalm:. It seemed like he was inferring that another 6 were neither here nor there in the whole scheme of things. Well, Dr Whatever you were called, they may be would have been if they'd been yours.
May the good Lord preserve us from the BBC's 'experts' - especially those with an axe to grind.

That Lion enclosure doesn't look much cop to me. :nailbiting:
Meanwhile folly farm uses steel. I felt extremely safe and even had my children with me when looking at the lions! The picture shows their individual cages and locking doors.

Anyone ever seen a Fossa? Their that dangerous they can’t even keep the male and female together except for mating only as they’ll kill each other!

Worrying to read that it escaped "some time during the last five days."

How often should the expert fully trained rangers check the animals?????

Seen them in the wild, largest predator in Madagascar. The locals aren't even slightly bothered so I doubt they are that dangerous..

beggs the question, doctor, but, in what?

A doctorate in persuading people to do stupid things, like believe that an animal extinct in the UK for 1000 years is actually 'native' and that its a good idea to introduce it back into farm and forestry land.
"I've got qualifications and a 'Dr' in front of my name don't you know you ignorant peasant you"

Quotes indicative of attitude of no specific individual. Better put that sincere disclaimer in, otherwise I might be hit by another £750,000 summons. :chicken:
