Is it right that a local plant hire company offered to dredge the river at Hawick for no cost.
He was going to take the gravel away and sort / riddle it and sell the aggregate.

Instead they spend £90000000, unbelievable
Something like that , someone offerd to dredge it and crush screen stone most of the cost recouped ….. but as said instead they spend 100million , the country is corrupt to the core .

100million , a100k would have sorted it if they just dug the river out like they used to , nothing more than a job creating
Scheme which i in its self is not a bad thing .
We had a lad that had been on the job with a company for a while and be was saying the whole thing is a complete joke but it's to be expected with this kind of thing . They just pull a figure out thin air and someone at a desk that doesn't have a clue will just say yeah that's fantastic crack on and make a good job !! .

I had a bit of it from the council when I did my house . The job they did would've taken me 1 day at most they took 9 days to do it 14 days the traffic lights were up and they said it cost 6k to do all they did would've been 1-2k max in the agricultural world.

This is just like anything to do with the government, and they wonder why they need to gather so much in tax! Just spend it wisely!

Somebody with enough cash and a team of lawyers could make EA look a bit silly
Something similar like This happened up at Glenridding when storm Desmond strook, local plant and operators were in next day clearing out, EA have tried all ways to stop em, but they just cleaned it out, shops hotels etc under water, EA seem to like that, no maintenance at all from the EA nowadays, all educated fookers aren’t they! Ditches, dredging was done annually once over! Get locked up now!!! If ya do owt like that,

What you have all described is what is happening in society's where the pen pushers have controlled and no realistic people's observations are taken seriously it is right threw government local authority and all quangoes,. A neighbour farmer told us of the same scenario in the 1960s it just keeps tumbling on. On a similar note all burocratic regs are driving industry away from UK especially heavy industry and that is what should be earning money for UK .. Latest is to try and have silicon valley here. Pen pushers create more work for the like of them but in reality does it create economic growth . Going on a bit I am just a practical farmer.
