Situation Vacant Machinery Service Manager - Kent

The Opportunity: Our client is searching for an enthusiastic Service Manager who is keen and driven to manage the service team and machinery repairs in one of their branches. The Service Manager is front and center in the aftersales experience for our client’s customers. They are responsible for the efficient running of the service office, covering Agricultural, Construction and both professional and domestic Horticultural machinery repairs.

Employer: An extremely well respected machinery dealer with a large network across East Anglia and the South East, who are one of the largest and longest established companies in the agricultural machinery sector, with a fantastic employer track record.

Skills/Experience Required:

Essential

  • Managing existing customer accounts and building new relationships to increase department growth
  • Ability to manage customer expectations with regards to increased cost of repairs
  • Able to work under pressure and with discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the business
  • Familiarity of profit/loss management and reporting
  • Willingness to support and coach team members
  • You must be organised and have the ability to multitask efficiently
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Agricultural, Construction and/or Horticultural machinery
  • Previous management or supervisory experience
Remuneration: An excellent salary is available (depending on experience) plus a company vehicle, profit-related bonus as well as workplace pension and company discounts.
