Mag drill stand.

Thinking of making a stand for new mag drill. Old spaldings pillar drill has had it so want something to replace it too.

Basically I was thinking if I make something to bolt to a stansion in the shed that the drill sticks to, and them basically the same again but upside down, though clamped to the upright so it could be moved up and down if needed.

Something a bit like this. Obviously want to be pretty hefty:

Is this a good idea? Anyone done anything similar?

Need plenty of shims etc to get it square I would imagine, but any other ideas before I go and mess it up?!

Thanks
