I'm going to get my contractor to direct drill in with his mzuri so it's not like it will take me days to prep the ground or anything, get the maize off, spray the weeds off (if needed) and drill straight inBe fine. If not just adjust plans accordingly
You've done well there, hella clean crop with no post emMaize is up to 6' in places now, no sign of tussles yet, is that a bad thing?
The only spray was on the grass before Ploughing, pleased with how its looking for weeds!

There's nothing worse than maize cut too early acidic mush don't stress about the following crop cut it when it's ready then plan accordingly. I don't think it will be late anyway. If I harvest it early and its not 100% ready what will I end up with in the clamp?
That's poor drillingWhy would maize sort of tiller like this…
Seems more prominent where the crops thinner but also where population is good
Where in the world are youMotoring on despite the lack of rain
Ah ok makes sense what I initially thought but seems like one plant and where population is correct a lot of plants still seem to have tillers. Can maize actually tiller ? Never seen it beforeThat's poor drilling
No it's double or even triple seed drops it's really not idealAh ok makes sense what I initially thought but seems like one plant and where population is correct a lot of plants still seem to have tillers. Can maize actually tiller ? Never seen it before
