Pull/dig the plant up, intact and including the roots so I can see the whole thing?

Can you take a picture of the field or a part of it as well? I've a theory this isn't a straight forward nutrient deficiency.

was it from grass? could be leatherjacket s as well if so and whatever it is ... exasperated by cool overcast weather ..possibly...

It’s veg patch scale , if I pull one up that’s 15% of my remaining plants ! However wire worm is probably it as it was grass before becoming veg patch this year I didn’t even think of that cheers

if you got one lying around cut holes in an ibc top and bottom and lift it over the plant(s) like a sort of cold frame ...will help it cope with stress...cant beat a few sweet corn cobs wi butter on them...

Lather some hen pen manure into the soil, near but not touching the plants, and water in well. It will help to suppress wireworm and give the crop a boost too.
