Making concrete panels??

Did a quick bit of googling last night.
By volume, you're paying about £250-300 per cube for panels.
Pricing the concrete and the steel, that's not leaving a whole lot for the ersing about.

There used to be a far greater difference I reckon....it was a no-brainer if you could be bothered.
I'd price carefully again if I were doing more, although I've a lot of odd 10' bays, so daresay I will be doing more.

I could see how it would work well if you were shuttering and doing the steel work for your own poured walls or something. But to make individual panels just sounds like an arsh.

Can you imagine the EA making their own concrete products today. Holy £*$%& in a handbasket. 17 of them would be in A and E within minutes with concrete burns on their hands and feet from mixing it by hand whilst not wearing gloves and walking around in it in their sandals.
🤣like it, but I highly doubt it.
I imagine it would be very difficult to mix concrete when you are sat on the sofa in your pyjamas on the end of a zoom call!

I found poured walls an erse....I always seem to end up with bowed moulds.
Helped on site doing a complex tank casting in situ too....and that was a pain

But casting a square slab on a plastic sheet is hardly rocket science.
Did a big lot one day, and was finding trouble getting everything done while mix was fresh. learnt that lesson.

l cheated, have a friend who used to own a concrete yard, making buildings, water trough stands, gateposts, paving slabs etc, but not panels, amazing what he knew though. Brainy chap, he stopped that, and trained as an electrician, double the money, and 100 x less effort.
