my Manitou 627 lift arm keeps dropping even when its running, it is worst when it is warm. before this you had to keep moving the steering to keep the hydraulics moving again worst when it was warm. not sure if the two are connected problems or two separate ones. some one did mention to me about a priority valve but he didn't know to much about it.
anyone got any ideas?

thanks

2 seperate problems.

Lift ram dropping is ram seals or lock out valve. Most likely ram seals.

Unless its only dropping with engine running which if so i guess you got a late 2008 machine with jsm joystick which is all electronic so could be a fault in that or solenoid on valve chest.

Turning steering to charge hydraulic circuits is normal on this model but if you having to do it alot or if you dont get very many presses of aux buttons to dump hyd pressure with engine off then it'll need a new pilot accumulator supply block. Not maga expensive.

it is on an 07 plate. no visible leak from the outside. the joystick has 4 buttons on the top not sure if that's jsm or not?
would you be able to price the new pilot accumulator supply block for me?

thanks for your help (y)

JSM is the palm joystick with forward/reverse rocker switch on top, you got older type by sounds of it.
£224.91 plus vat for pilot accumulator supply block complete.

The ram and lock out valve don't have to be leaking externally to be a problem.
As you have the Older joystick which is not electronic its pilot stick with elecy buttons I think you need to reseal the lift ram as a start.
