Manitou 628 hub oil

Hi does anyone know how to check the hub oil level on a manitou mlt 628, there is a 12mm alllen key, do the hub have to be horizontal and fill up to that level ? .... also would a standard ep 80-90 gear oil be ok ? I have the machine serial number if that helps ? 133784 TIA

Yes just a shade over half full and ep80-90 gear oil but not in the axle only the hubs.
