Disconnect steel pipes on side of boom.
Ideally remove rear extension ram pin and take pipes off ram. This pin is often seized!
And cabs in the way to knock through.

Remove front wear pads and slide boom out.

If you cant get rear ext ram pin out then take front out but there is a support welded to front of ram which may catch so might need to jiggle the last bit about.
When refitting find a nice hard potato or similar the right size to wedge under the ext ram to lift it off the bottom of fixed boom section to allow you to slide the inner in with out catching.

Dont use wood cause you cant get it back out after and it will damage the ram as it gets pushed to back of boom unlike a potato which just gets mashed up:D

You will need to do a few trial runs to get shims right. Needs to be tight but not too tight you can slide it in and out!

I would at least replace the top rear pads no matter how good they looked sides and bottom can normally be reused.
Bit of loctite on the studs and nut when your happy with fit or you can swap the nut for a nyloc nut if you want too.
