628 series 1,2 or 3?

Pm me your email can send you info.
Might be under reving
Speed sensor fault
Or solenoid failed
Or something up with the egs lever?
Theres self diagnostic on the egs lever but easier for me to just send you the files on email than explain it all here.

Solenoid B is top and D is bottom, use this to ID the solenoid or power supply that isn't working right, i say you must have 3rd gear cause solenoid A is used in all forward gears and solenoid E is used in the first 4 gears.

Its the same box for 4 and 6 speed, its only the control unit that selects different combinations of the 5 solenoids to give the gear ratios, so there are quite a few combos so not uncommon for one solenoid or power to fail and end up with a different gear radio that what the display has selected.

You can rule out speed sensor cause that wouldn't stop just one gear working.

Although there are 5 solenoids there are actually 6 clutches, not 100% which one of the solenoids does it but the 6th clutch is operated when certain solenoid/s are not powered up.

Actually i dont think that sequence is correct for the MLA?

this is the 4 speed sequence for the MLA (solenoids are labeled differently to fit drawings which came from @leone75 and are for cat TH62)

I honestly do not know or can not find the info from manitou for the 6 speed sequence doesn't seem to be any 6speed info available from manitou even though it was an option on the MLA 627 and early 628.

Pretty sure the diagram you kindly sent me a few years ago (the one above) didn’t quite add up.

3rd gear solenoid is near the bottom and a single sequence so straight forward to work out which one by process of elimination.

the one above is for all 4 speed MLA's, the only 6speed one i can find was for a cat TH62 which could well be different as the drive is taken off the back output shaft to a transfer box and then on to the axles so it might be working in reverse compared to the MLA?
