Manitou mla 630 -125 reverse issue

Hi we have a manito mla 630. For what we use it for it has been a good machine as we are a turf farm.
Last couple days when you click to go into reverse there is a slight pause before starts moving.
does any one have any ideas what this might be? Thanks

Sorry i missed your call today, been busy on site all day again. missed loads of calls IMO (n) cant be every where at once:X3:

IMO a delay engaging drive or gears isnt normally good! this normally indicates a leaky clutch pack piston or a shaft seal. All of which are internal transmission problems resulting a transmission out and overhaul!

I'm sure that 630 is a Spicer Turner transmission similar to whats used on the other manitous with 6 speed? if it is they do not like running hot as it knackers the seal on the pistons. Sadly one of this MLA 630 models problems was cooling pack issues!

Your going to need to put a pressure gauge on it and see what its doing. i can help you with were the test ports are and what to look for if you can get a gauge on it? First though you should do the easy thing and check the oil level in it although it wont be that simple as low oil would be a problem in all directions and gears.

Haha ahh yea that’s what I was ringing for , I didn’t know if it was the switch or you can calibrate it as it’s only just started to do it today.
So firstly il check the transmission oil level and then go from there? It’s only a very slight pause , as small as it is , just quite annoy.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
