Ok so this morning jumped on the manitou and it’s lit up like a Christmas tree and the buzzer is going crazy any ideas @ace it’s a 59 reg 634-120lsuView attachment 828829

As said Alternator failure or belt broken sends all the warning lights and alarms off.
Very common on that model and ones like it cause the belt also drives a hyd pump to circulate the oil through the oil cooler so far too much work for a 13mm AVX single V belt to drive a 95amp alternator and a hyd pump!

Its expensive but i recommend the genuine belt now cause they have changed to a better belt construction and they do last better other wise i use a vapormatic VLD4265, which is an AVX13 x 1300 LA make sure its LA and not LI or LP

LA is external length
LI is internal Length
LP is pitch length (middle of V)

I did try a Kevlar belt once but that only lasted a few weeks:(

also check out the maga fuses too the left of the battery. one there for the alternator could be blown or more likely they burn the connections out underneath, they are cheap as, cost you £20 to £25 for a new fuse box, connectors and both multi plugs, i keep them in stock:)

On the one we had the belt vibrated and made contact with that bracket. A tweak with the adjustable where the paint was worn off stopped it. First time all hell broke loose like in your case.

later perkins ones had a idler pulley there for that reason, didn't do much to help belt though, far too much load on it for the type belt it is.
