Dosn't matter what size your herd is, its alot of money to my mere 300 cow herd!

You could say the same about the suckler calf scheme in Scotland,Why is the scottish govenment being so generous? Is it worth more to a man with 1000 sucklers than a man with 50? The man with 50 is probally more in need of it than the man with 1000.

the scottish government isnt being generous, its taking the money from the £/acre payment and targeting it towards suckler cows to keep the red meat industry alive, less payment per acre up here but a calf payment to incentivise keeping them

I have no idea have given up reading the "dole money" sections they just go round and around with neither side listening to each other (me included)

It was a tongue in cheek comment after you said Arla was being generous for giving us back the profits of the company we have invested in and own!
