No response in the arms, he says he shook hay in the summer and they started to slow up a bit but he reckons he can get it sorted. I think he's being optimistic.

The steering was terrible, felt like there was no assistance whatsoever and the wander across the road was shocking.

It also needed a bit of heat to start and there was plenty of black smoke but the engine was very responsive when I had it out.

Back tyres are original, have decent grip but are cracking. Front the same.

Parts of the flat sheet of the cab would need cut out and replaced and some parts of the interior cladding over the gearbox is missing as well as the roof section.

Looking £4800.
Sounds a bit dear for the condition. All parts for the steering are available but time costs money as well as the parts.

Hi, anyone any experience of a Massey 20e or 250? How do they compare to a 135?
I seem to remember the industrial versions of MF and Ford had to have 2 different breaking systems to conform to "Highway Tractors" laws in the day, has the 20E you viewed have this feature?

I have the 20e, nice little tractor. A bit under powered if it has the 80 loader on like mine. But a gutsy little thing with out it on. Had similar problem with hydraulics the other year it was just an o ring in the little valve on top of the hydraulic cover. 4800 is too much money for what you have looked at. Agree with previous comment. If it's a handy fix, let him do it and why hasn't he already done it ??

Sorry to ressurrect an old thread BUT, I also have a 20E with the 4WD and loader but someone in the past has changed the wheels / tyres and put turf tyres on the front with what look like oversize wheels on the back.

Here is a pic I submitted to tractordata for them to use so you can see the wheels: http://www.tractordata.com/industrial-tractors/000/1/6/160-massey-ferguson-20e-photos.html

Anyone know what sizes it should actually be wearing?

Oh, and everything on mine works so all offers considered.. :) lol

This has been discussed on Facebook hasn't it ?
I suspect 16.9 30 would be correct on the back

Is it the tractor/loader or the tyres you are selling, have you any more photos?
