Massey 3000 series hydraulics

Recently bought a 1992 Massey 3125. Generally in good order for its age but the lift arms stick fully up and won't start to drop unless I let some oil out of a lift cylinder. Also they take forever to drop and I need to rev the tractor to 2100rpm to speed up the process. Is this a hydraulic filter issue or something else? Electrics and lift solenoids working OK.

Have you tryed tipping a trailer, does it tip at speed and respond to revs ie trailer raises faster, if so your pump is good, do you have the drop speed nob on the autotronic panel turned to full speed, take a look at the pins and linkage arms try giving them some oil and wd 40 it may just be rusted up as gravity drops the arms, given that a go

Thanks. I'll check in the morning and let you know. I think the pump is fine, just don't really understand why increasing the engine revs should make the lift arms drop quicker. Would the datatronic that doesn't work have anything to do with it?

Number 2 , set fully clockwise to position 1
Number 7, set fully anticlockwise for fast speed of drop.

Number 3, set this to number 9
Number 4, does it make any difference in you press and hold it while dropping the arms ?
