Does anyone know if a 535 has a common gearbox with a 565?

I’m pretty sure there similar if not the same but a long time since I last did one check on agco parts books

Thank you. I’ve lost 1st and 3rd gears; we’ve tried adjusting the cables every which way and concluded it’s an internal problem. With labour costs being the killer on these tricky to get at parts, we thought dropping a replacement box in might be the cheapest solution. We’ve had several 500 series combines and the gearboxes seem to be a common weakness!

If you'd like another combine I have an 825 for sale, which was the replacement for the 565.

Will be the bearing collapsed on one of the shafts not to bad to do

Make sure the cables are activating the gear box selectors first had a similar 1st reverse loss,turned out to be a sheared roll pin on a external selector fork also had a small roll pin shear joining the cables in the cable sheath near the end at the gearbox on a 525

Thank you for all the helpful comments. I think I’ll pass on the 825, but thank you for offering! ( with several red combines about the place, another one would probably lead to a divorce!)

Had a sheared roll pin on a 525 gearbox once. Think it was the reverse/2nd gear cable/shaft from memory. Simple enough to sort once we found that’s all it was. Heavy hands and keen to get on was the old boys downfall that day
