Massey 6170 fuel problem

That's fine you now know the supply is capable of opening a good valve.
So next to rule out a bad solenoid valve or bad fuel supply to the pump

Do a video with the fuel pipe that feeds the injector pump disconnect and the lift pump being pumped we will soon see if there’s enough fuel getting there then

Apologies to all as I never put on here what was actually wrong with ours

It was simply a blockage restricting the fuel on the tank outlet pipe which comes to a brass coupler and then on to the lift pump. We removed this lift pipe with brass coupler and a couple of attempts putting air through it what can only be described as rolled up celotape shot out and not been any bother since.

Same symptons as on your video @aepowdercoating fuel was just dribbling out the injector pump.

Sorry I haven't responded I had very pressing issues that needed my attention. I will get a video with that hand pump in about an hour and as a update..

So my brother thought he would give his try since I was preoccupied.... He went and put Dex 3 in all the filters and then went and hooked up all lines and tried to start it. He went as far as letting the Dex go up to the injectors. I really hope this didn't cause me any more problems.

So nothing like breaking a banjo bolt mid day to find out the closest one is 300 miles away to top the day off. 3 bucks to get and 9 bucks to overnight it. What a stupid/expensive little part.

That seem a good supply .........
Did you try doing that (hand priming) with the tractor trying to run?
Have you the same supply cranking the engine over?
Also worth checking with someone or carefully having a look to see if the fitting that pipe screws into is clear (no gauze filter present)?

Charge the battery and:
Try starting it from scratch without any aids, and see have you a good supply at the bleeder on the pump.
Then do one injector at a time watching for a good squirt.
With three injectors done it should make so attempt to fire?
This might give you a better idea what's going on.

So today I replaced the little screen that goes to the injector pump.. then hooked everything back. Hand pump it got the air out. Try to start it with no aids at all. No go... so I went and looked for air leaks. Everything is buttoned up good so good in fact the when i open one of the screws on the bottome of the filters that it only drips out instead of pours out. If i hand pump it fuel will come out so thats good. So now I'm back at the pump not pushing good. I used aid once again it ran with the aid but the pressure from the pump wasn't the best. In fact I put my hand in front of it and had someone try to start it. it didn't hurt and it felt like turning on the water half way. Attached is the screen I replaced. It was in the injector pump.

So today I took my injectors off and took them to a shoo to check them. And the popped good with no problems. Came back put everything back together and primed it. And then tried to start it with out the gas rag on the air filter. Than it promptly died. So that leaves me to believe it's the pump... Darn it.. now what? So I'm contemplating pulling the pump... Timing should be a 6 o'clock for the pump but to be honest I haven't a clue... I could take it to a repair shop and pay them to do it. But the thought of paying someone else to do something I might be able to do is a struggle. Lost and well I'm missing big red
