Massey 7618 power beyond

I have a 7618 and recently upgraded my silage wagon which is set up for power beyond, tractor had a return pipe coupling already on but the other two ends where blanked of, I put couplings on them but the wagon won’t work the hydraulics until I pull a spool leaver or turn steering, I can see it trying to work but just not getting the flow until I get the pump going, is there anything else I need to check?

There was a problem on the 7618 with the load sensing , does it work if you put your foot on the brakes ?

Common issue with these. The load sensing line needs plumbing into the load sensing pipes on the rh side of the spool block using a special t piece with a ball bearing inside it. I can’t remember proper name for it. Your local dealer should be able to sort you out with the bits needed.

That looks nothing like our old 7618 it looks like a cobbled up job (no offence ) ours worked perfectly fine maybe it had already had a mod done to it though

Yes it works when I press the breaks, do you know what the problem was with them?
There is a mod kit to go on it as , the other guy says the oil is not geting to the pump to ramp it up & make oil flow , your 7618 is a normal look back end on them , as i say you need this kit from a Mf dealer it has some valves & pipes & a T pices to make it all work

T piece with a ball bearing inside it sounds like a shuttle valve but my load sensing experience is limited to New Hollands
