Massey 8110 gearbox were doing

Were stripping a Massey 8110 after it's broken a synchro gear on low range that's managed to few it's way through 4wd transfer box and output shaft gears nice little job but I'd love a simple service just once in a while

If your sat on tractor pump us located on rh cover on gearbox just behind the selectors it has a cross over tube that runs across to other side

Joys of being mobile all our work is on site we had to resort to saw dust in the end though

The closed centre ones do they have a charge pump on the left side internally feeding a swash plate pump on the right side cover

Suppose if charge pump was faulty or swash plate pump was faulty that would give pressure drop and a jumpy clutch

Yes it can do but normally it’s a leak on the 17bar circuit that causes that so 4wd pack, diff lock, dynashift and pto usually it’s the 4wd pack if your clutch is less lumpy when in 4wd that points to your 4wd pack bring the issue but you really need to put a gauge on the 17bar circuit

If the 4wd was on it makes no difference seemed to be if you engage the clutch it could drop the pressure on 17bar

Have you checked your accumulator on the 17bar circuit?

It was replaced for a new one

So it sounds a bit like your wet clutch is leaking pressure then if all other hydraulics function properly?

It seems to be was going to try a flow tester on it
