REStracTORATION

The heavy clutch is due to the new Chinese clutch units the springs are very heavyI had another test drive on the 135, the juddering has stopped and the the tractor pulls away smoothly, however the clutch is now very stiff and difficult to push down. It has the sort of resistance that would give you a sore knee if you had a lot of gear changing to do. The owner said this was because the spring is new and the tension would ease
over time. Is this correct? Is there a way to make the clutch easier to press?
if I buy the 135 and have to put a new clutch in it, how much would this cost? Someone told me it’s not as expensive as it used to be.
There is also certain number of springs that are fitted they may of fitted a unit with more springs for the larger tractors....
From experience The luk units and laycock units had super smooth light operation over the foreign ones but 3 times the price...
You can check what springs are fitted if you look under through the bottom plate,
Also you don't need to press the clutch right to the foot plate as it's a 2 stage clutch halfway is stop drive or gear change, to the foot plate is pto the 2nd half is a bit heavier on fake units due to a poor quality bevel spring.
