No. Longer bolts were used through the rim lugs and the original weights fitted into them.
I expect you know the front and rear wheel centres were painted red for your age of tractor?

Agrimax do you know which rear wheel rim and tyre combo looks looks good on a 1970 ish MF165. It has these on it but one rim is badly damaged but holds air and it’s a matter of getting either the round part of the rim as dish is ok or a S/h rim complete. Any help appreciated.

You cannot say for certain this 1967 example should have red centres?
1967 was the change over year, certainly by mid summer the transition had taken place, I have a pic taken at a summer show which shows all 135 examples present on silver centres.

I'd better apologise to TractorLloyd as I read the op too quick and seen it as 1965, which would have had red centres! 1967 could have been either true enough......
The white exhaust is correct and the roll cage is more likely to have been an aftermarket fitment. Depends who made it as to what colour it should be.....

That looks like a 13.6x36? Outer rim looks very similar to a Super Major or Nuffield. Would have thought they'd be fairly common to pick up if the same?
14x28 was a common size but leaves the back end low to the ground and slow on the road.
If you could fall in with a set of 16.9/14x30,I'd say they would look the part.

It also had the air suction pipe going through the battery cover and poking out, the roll cage was aftermarket due to regulations, would there be anyway knowing what is the correct colour or do I choose?

Could you post the picture? Would be smart to see

67 was change over on red centers to silver
Along with phase out to cheaper plastic items over alloy and steel handles on fenders
The white roll bar will be sirrocco I would say, square to look at in shape

Also your fenders will be the alloy handle type and short rear section
New fenders can be bought but the later type to accept the sirrocco flexi cab supports
This can be altered also the handles removed and reworked for alloy grabs too.

Your clock will be in the middle I would say to but something tells me this to changed sooner rather than later to accept the mph layout for the industrials
The early ones in my eyes are the best try to keep as much original as you can

Holes in front wheels are correct

No holes in rears should also have riveted front and rear wheels later ones went to welded lugs
Quite a few other differences too

You need your serial number and run it through the ferguson club they will verify your tractor to the exact build date for you to be sure

Will just say that my 1968 135 had silver wheels and alloy grab handles and aluminium head light surrounds when new.
Wasn't it 1970/71 when the straight front axle came in,that the alloy handles and head light surrounds changed?

Late 69 70 I though straight axle came in with 13" grill etc I know we did a 69 and 70 135 with plastic headlights 1 was swept and 1 was straight axle

I honestly think towards the change over miss match of parts was used to clear stock or supplier delays etc

I'm not 100% sure on exact dates my memory is shocking at the moment without refreshing it, I'm not arguing your probably correct

Unfortunately the serial number is lost, it is a sirrocco roll frame in white, it’s a 13” grill with alloy light and alloy grab handles. Rev counter is centre, they changed it to the side on straigh axel, I’m unsure with what you mean by riveted wheels. I’m trying to keep the tractor as original as possible, I’ve found a lot of new old stock parts on eBay

Theirs always the odd old stock tractors that appeared to muddy the waters as to the exact date of new features their was a 165 high clearance with a 203 engine nearly a year old when it was sold new to a neighbour . The red cab 590s had been out for 6 months when we bought a silver one cheaper than a 290 too.

Any idea if it's still the original engine in the tractor? The serial number should be on the block, just above the injector pump, starting with 152. May be able to work out the build date for it.
