Massey ferguson 6480 t3 indicators problem

Hi, when i use my massey 6480 indicators it works fine on the right but when i indicate on the left the both (left and right) turn on. I’ve checked the bulbs, fuses, flasher unit and the 8 pin plug on the back and they all seem fine, anyone else had this o know what it may be cheers.

The stalks did give issues

It will be the connection inside the mudwing ,it will be rotten very common problem with them all even on the 76 and 77 tractors

Had this. It turned out to be the circuit board. Sent it off to David king. He done a crap job. Haven't sent it back yet. But check the stalk first

Just bear in mind that the lights have a fuse and what MF call shunts in the fuse box
Its basically another fuse and had me stumped for a while when my dip headlights blew

I’ve just changed the stalk with the other massey and its the same, do you think it could be something else? Cheers.

Try and take it apart if your that way inclined
Iirc it can be opened up

Yes in side the mudwing there is a none water proof connection that goes rotten

Check fuses there are fuses that are only for north America. If you put one in there it does this

Check the earths out to these plastic bodied lights etc need a good earth. If their lighting up but not winking its usually a earth off the offending unit

On ours the main beam and low beam doesn’t work but when you pull the stalk back to flash the lights, the headlight works. Any ideas on this?

Check sh4 and 5 in the fuse box
