hi all,
Fixed transmission recently with great help from this forum. Everything going great until Sunday when gears started getting mixed up. When I select neutral it continues to go forward. When I select reverse in almost locks up then when I rev it up it goes back but as if under pressure ,,,. Anybody any suggestions as what my trouble might be.

Firstly stop driving it. Especially reverse cause your ripping the clutch pack out due to some cross feed either electrical or oil related or possibly due to clutch plate already warped.

Use the electric solenoid sequences i posted or private messaged you before to make sure the right sequence of solenoids are energised for each gear and you have none powering up out of sequence causing it to lock up.

Secondly is or has in the past the transmission oil been contaminated with water from a leaking oil cooler? Oil will be pink if your running red ATF oil in it otherwise it might be grey.
Water in the transmission distroys the clutch pack linings and i had one were the friction material snow balled and took all the slack out of plates jamming/locking it up.

Or you have had a pack slipping and getting hot so its now warped the plates locking that pack up.

Have you actaully had the transmission out and overhauled? The clutch pack pistons are not all the same although on first glance they appear the same. Some have small holes in them and some have a ball in the hole i think? Something to with them having a controlled leakage i think and also possibly for lubricating bearings and clutch plates?

e it anyway.

Hi ACEngineering, many thanks for reply.
yes we did take transmission out and repaired it or so we thought!! everything seemed good with it when we put it back together. driving well and able to push much better than ever before while we have the machine.
last week bolt on butterfly end of one of the front wheel drive universal joints came loose which resulted in us removing front drive until we got new joint, no other damage done!.
then in two days after that transmission started to act up. the reason why i think it may be electrical is when i stop machin it immediately clicks into neutral. when i start it again its in neutral but once i select any gear and then go back to neutral it won't go to neutral. also when i brake it doesn't go to neutral.
got spare parts from GES Group and got loads of advice and opinion before we put it back together.
The machine is only doing light work, i.e. loading diet feeder for 200 cattle and small bit of FYM moving.

just a suggestion are you using correct fluid?? …. we used to have similar machine and when I ordered fluid from supplier he wanted to know which transmission was in machine as it was it was critical for correct fluid

Is it actually reading neutral or N on the led display panel then yet still trying to drive?

Only solution try wiring if that doesn't work

It's cab off transmission open time
