Mccormick mtx 150 fuel pump

Hi all, we’ve got a mtx 150 that has been stalling now and again and sometimes it continues to run after the key is switched off. I’ve taken the stop solenoid out and it’s covered in metal filling so there’s the problem. I was wondering what I have to do to take the fuel pump off. It’s a Bosch ve pump and is timed. Do i need to find tdc before I pull it off and how would I go about timing it after it’s been rebuilt?
thanks

Thought I'd just refresh this thread as the folks that know have probably missed it.
Unfortunately i don't know how to tag people in, but there are some clever guys lurking on here mcman being one in particular. Hope you get it sorted.

There is a small plastic pin below the fuel pump that pins the camshaft in the correct position.
The pump nut is accessed behind a small plate , there is a lock on side of fuel.pump you slacken and remove plate and screw in until it clamps the timing
I have a company which overhauls these pumps .
